Dry eye champion promoted

Associate Professor Jennifer Craig, head of the Ocular Surface Laboratory (OSL) at the University of Auckland and a leading, international dry eye researcher, has been made a professor.  

 

The world-renowned clinical and translational OSL focuses on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction. As well as heading OSL since 1999, Prof Craig is the former vice-president of the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society second dry eye workshop (TFOS DEWS II)lead author of its subsequent consensus report, and the new chair of TFOS’ next workshop, A Lifestyle Epidemic – Ocular Surface Disease, announced at the end of 2020.  

 

She holds visiting positions in several institutions around the world and has co-authored more than 130 peer-reviewed scientific publications
