Catering to women tradies, lab workers, DIY enthusiasts and more, Hoya Vision Care’s Cannon Safety frame is now available in a small size.

Designed for those with petite facial features, this new version offers the same protection but with a better fit, including comfortable wraparound design and removable full-seal foam gasket for extra protection. It’s available in gloss black, purple and green.

Advising patients on safety eyewear to protect them from needless eye injuries is paramount, Hoya said, adding approximately 95% of eye injuries treated in Australian and New Zealand hospitals stem from carelessness and a lack of attention to basic eye safety. Common causes of eye injuries include impact from debris, dust, chemical exposure, heat, visible radiation and ultraviolet radiation, the company said.

With different tasks requiring different levels of eye protection, Hoya Safety Eyewear range caters to both low- and medium-impact scenarios with single vision, bifocal and multifocal lenses available. “Knowing the variety of eye protection products available helps you make informed decisions for maximum safety,” Hoya said.

Hoya’s Safety Eyewear provides safety prescription eyewear that complies with all relevant and

current Australian and New Zealand Standards, which includes AS/NZS 1337, AS/NZS 1337.6, AS/

NZS 1336 and AS 2228.1. All products have certification recognised by SAI Global.
