More than 2,100 votes were cast for this year’s ODMA Awards, designed to recognise both industry suppliers and independent practices. The number of votes surpassed all ODMA’s expectations, said ODMA CEO Amanda Trotman, and shows the industry is in good hands. “This truly is a programme offered by the industry, for the industry and with massive industry involvement choosing who should be honoured in 2025.”

Announced during the networking function on the first day of the fair, the 2025 award winners were:

• Supplier of the year – Hoya
• Top supplier customer service team – Hoya
• Sales representatives of the year:
• Vineet Chauhan, EssilorLuxottica, NZ
• Kristy Gierisch, Eyes Right Optical, AU
• Instrument of the year (a piece of equipment really helping practices) – Designs For Vision’s iCare tonometer
• Versatile frame of the year (a frame that stood out over the last 12 months for its appeal) – Face a Face’s Didot 1, distributed by Eyes Right Optical.
