Opening a world of joyous colour and creativity, Dynamic Eyewear is bringing The Elusive Miss Lou to the New Zealand market.
The brainchild of mother-and-son duo Louise and Teiger Sceats, The Elusive Miss Lou brand was born in 2020. Having sold her and husband Jono Hennessy’s Sceats brands (Jono Hennessy, Carter Bond and Zeffer) in 2018, Louise said she found retirement quite boring. She said she wanted to sit by the seaside and design wonderful, happy artworks while her son worked out the rest – and voilà, The Elusive Miss Lou brand was born.
“We are determined to create something really wonderful and spread happiness in what has been a potentially not-so-great period of time,” she said. “Our main goal is to make people feel good in our frames. Both in style and comfort, we are really striving to make something different, unique and a little bit special.”

Dynamic Eyewear's Damian Peters with the Elusive Miss Lou collection
Dynamic Eyewear’s Damian Peters said the team visited the Miss Lou stand at ODMA and instantly fell in love with the story, the people and the product. “We were very humbled by the fact that a couple of NZ practices had also visited the Miss Lou stand and when asked by Lou who would be a great NZ distributor, Dynamic Eyewear was recommended by both.”
The collection will appeal to individuals who love to be bold and express their individuality, said Peters. “The Miss Lou frames are wearable art and a means of self-expression, rather than just functional necessity. The background story makes this collection unique and by stocking The Elusive Miss Lou, you can differentiate your practice with a luxury, creative and exclusive product line that will attract customers looking for unique, artistic eyewear,” he said.
Miss Lou prides itself on quality, comfort and fit, Peters added. “The frames are handmade with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring both durability and comfort for long-term wear. The quality is superb.”
The acetate is barrelled for seven days using a Japanese polishing paste to ensure long-lasting shine, then cured for 60 days, he explained, adding the same acetate is used by LA Eyeworks, Lafont and other top-level designers.
The Elusive Miss Lou is a limited-release collection and New Zealand has only been allocated six pieces of each model and colour, Peters said. “This gives the range serious exclusivity, almost guaranteeing patients won’t see anyone else wearing the same frame as them.”
