In a survey of US patients’ real-world experiences with Bausch + Lomb’s (B+L’s) Infuse for astigmatism contact lens (CL), 80% reported consistently clear vision throughout the day, 80.6% reported the reduction of halos and glare and 93% agreed the lenses were easy to handle. 

The survey is part of an interim report in an ongoing study into the B+L’s daily disposable silicone hydrogel toric lens. Of the 100 patients, 87% wore the CL for the full five-day evaluation before completing an online survey including questions regarding vision clarity during physical activities and when involved in near-work. Almost two-thirds wore the CL for ≥10 hours per day, averaging a mean daily wear time of 10.4 hours per day. At the end of the study period, 92% rated their overall opinion of the lens as ‘good’, ‘very good’, or ‘excellent’ and 89% said they were likely to continue with the CL after the initial wear period. 

According to B+L, Infuse maintains 96% of its moisture for 16 hours, thanks to its Probalance system of lens-infused ingredients and moisturisers, electrolytes and osmoprotectants on the CL’s surface.
