Morel and CMI Optical have formed a new collaboration, Morel New Zealand, to offer alternative Morel brands locally.

Morel New Zealand will handle the distribution and promotion of Morel collections 1880, Lightec, Marius and Nomad, said CMI’s Brad Boult. “Eyes Right have always represented Koali and Oga and will continue to do so. There are no plans for this to change and nor would we want to as Eyes Right are doing a great job with these collections.”

Morel has established similar collaborations in other countries, including Sweden, Italy, Brazil and Portugal, and this move also celebrates Morel and CMI’s 15-year anniversary, said Boult. “The benefits for New Zealand practices and end users is that when you are talking to Morel New Zealand, you are talking to the factory in France. We are also able to offer a full two-year manufacturers warranty on Morel collections.”

The partnership also means practices only need to ask to receive more support with marketing and promotions from Morel, he added.
